Short Bio

Ignacio Pérez Hurtado de Mendoza received his bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering in 2003. From 2004 to 2007 he was a sofware developer in Telvent Energy Ltd. He joined the Rearch Group on Natural Computing (RGNC), University of Seville in 2007, working as Senior Research Support Technician in several National and International projects related to Membrane Computing, as well as part time Interim Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (CCIA). He received the Ph.D. in Logic, Computation and Artificial Intelligence, University of Seville in 2010. The main contribution of his thesis is the programming language P-Lingua for Membrane Computing. He continued working in the RGNC and Dpt. of CCIA until 2013, after that, he worked as Senior Developer in Yaco Ltd. for one year. In 2014 he joined the Service Robotics Lab, Pablo de Olavide University, as Senior Research Support Technician for the TERESA FP7 project. In 2015 he was granted with a postdoctoral fellowship Juan de la Cierva from the Spanish Government (two years) working in Social Robotics. During the academic course 2017-2018 he was a part time Interim Lecturer in both universities. Concerning research activities, he has coauthored more than 12 scientific papers, published in well-known international journals, and has also more than 24 contributions to conferences. His profile in Scopus shows 31 documents and 350 citations (h-index 10), while in ResearcherID 21 documents are listed, with 189 citations (h-index 7).
